Ellos~! one, thank youu! and watercolors are wonderful but that depends what you like to draw. Personally I like to paint trees with them, and they are perfect to create blurs with therefore painting sky. Also if you add salt (preferably seasalt) to your work, it absorbs some of the water creating small whiteouts (so maybe a starry sky would look lovely using this technique) and adds a little sparkle as well. Watercolors are also good for coloring, so if you’re into illustration- you may want to use this material. You can paint on old newspaper and create a hipsterish piece of work and try using different paper to get different textures- play around! I believe you can use watercolor on silk but that requires a lot of control and possibly additional material (to stop the colors from bleeding into each other).
